History
The Hula Bowl began in Hawaii in 1947. Its early format included local all-stars and, later, professional players; the all-collegiate format began in 1960.
Squad arrangements have alternated between East–West and North–South. After a hiatus following 2008, the game returned in 2020 with Kai and Aina teams and moved to Orlando in 2022.
